Agency Description
Getty Foundation
The Getty Foundation supports individuals and institutions committed to advancing the understanding and preservation of the visual arts locally and throughout the world. The majority of funding is through initiatives that target a particular issue or region, and that are carried out in collaboration with the other Getty programs–the J. Paul Getty Museum, the Getty Research Institute, and the Getty Conservation Institute. The Getty Foundation focusses on the following four broad areas:

Heritage Preservation

The Conservation Assessment Program (CAP) provides small to mid-sized museums with a general conservation assessment of their collections, environmental conditions, and facilities.

Illinois Association of Museums (IAM)

The Museum Grant Program of the Illinois Association of Museums can assist member institutions to increase professional skills in accepted museum practices; to better preserve, exhibit, and interpret their collections; and to better serve their communities.
