Europeana (Europe's digital library, museum, and archive)

Europeana is A web portal to Europe's digital cultural heritage.  This massive, collaborative effort by the Europeana Foundation and more than 600 Europeana Network members (comprised of  libraries, museums, galleries, archives, and audiovisual archives) has already digitally preserved millions of Europe's cultural objects.  Their mission is to "improve access to Europe's cultural heritage in balanced and sustainable ways."  Click to see a list of current Europeana Network members and their institution/project.
